Splash pad

If you’re looking for something to do with the kids, you might consider checking out the Splash Pad at Pinewood Park. This park offers an impressive array of play structures, including a huge playground, a splash pad, and more. The park is open year-round, and the kids can have fun all day long.

Although this is a new addition to Pinewood Park, it’s already been funded by a $65,000 grant from the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund. As one of more than 85 playgrounds in West Michigan, the park is a great place to get the family out for a day of fun.

During construction, you’ll find the splash pad closed, but there are still plenty of other things to do. For example, you can enjoy a walk along the creek while you wait. You can also visit the playground and basketball court on the north end of the park.

Other features include a covered pavilion, a children’s playground, and a picnic area. There’s even a sandy digging area for the kids to explore. A full bathroom is also available. Several parking lots are available, and there’s an entry ramp.

There are a variety of programs to take advantage of at the park, including the free Splash Pad. Check out the website for more details.

Toddlers will love this park

There is a lot to love about this Kentwood park in the west, and it’s not all about the ballpark. A good place to start is in the park’s many parks and open spaces. Pinewood boasts a few things to keep your children entertained, including a baseball diamond and two pavilions. To top it off, the park also offers a splash pad, a sandbox, and a nifty little playground in its own right. So why not take the family out to the park this weekend? You’ll be glad you did. Connects to the paved Paul Henry walking/trail

The Paul Henry Thornapple Trail runs through the heart of Kentwood. It is a multi-use recreation trail that follows a former railroad corridor. This is one of the busiest sections of the city’s trail network.

As a result, the Thornapple Trail Association is planning to add another section of the trail in the coming years. Currently, the Paul Henry Trail is connected to the Fred Meijer M-6 Trail. However, a bridge will be needed to connect the two.

The Thornapple River Trail passes through wetlands, woodlands and farmland. This scenic route is open for biking and inline skating. Depending on the weather, you might see swans, ducks and egrets on the logs. You can also visit the nearby dog park and pickle ball courts.

Kentwood is a large city with a modern feel and a quiet vibe from days gone by. There are a number of new developments in the area, including the Community Green and the library. Whether you want to go for a bike ride, enjoy a picnic, or just relax, there are many reasons to visit Kentwood.

Kent County Parks is also planning to finish a mile of paved Thornapple Trail by the end of the summer. They hope to have a second mile ready for use by fall. Next Page!
